Project Empowering Women

Empowering Women for a Better World

Why women?

Aid programs that provide women opportunities to improve their health, education, and well-being have effects far beyond a single individual. A woman multiplies the impact of an investment made in her future by extending benefits to the world around her, creating a better life for her family, and building a better community.

Facts and figures

  • 99% of maternal deaths occur in the developing world. Adequate health care, a skilled birth attendant and emergency care help prevent maternal deaths.
  • 1 in 5 girls in developing countries who enroll in primary school never finish. When 10% more girls go to school, a country’s GDP increases on average by 3%.
  • 1 in 7 girls will marry before they are 15 in the developing world. Girls who stay in school for seven or more years, marry four years later and have two fewer children.

Our projects

Skill development programs

Our programs focus on providing vocational training of essential skills, opening up doors of opportunity. This is crucial to enhance the livelihood of women and free them from the cycle of poverty and dependency.

Health check-up camps

We organize special health camps for women to check for early signs of preventable illnesses and diseases.

Teaching self-defence

As violence against women is on the rise, we empower women by organizing self-defense camps.

Maternity aid programs

We provide support, care and resources to expecting mothers who are unable to bear the expenses and take care of themselves.
